Janet Seymour's School of Theatre Dance is based in Reeth, Swaledale. We offer classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern for children from the age of three years and Tap for adults.

Children have the opportunity to take examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.

Janet Seymour studied and gained her Registered Teacher and Licentiate status at the Royal Academy of Dance, London.

In 1979 she moved to Germany to introduce the work of the RAD with just a handful of other RAD qualified teachers.

From 1985 - 2006 Janet ran her own school with 300 students, many of whom are now dancing professionally all over the world.

After moving back to England in 2004 she opened her School of Theatre Dance in Reeth, entering children for RAD and lSTD exams every year, with 100% pass results.
